Thank you for your interest. This car was SOLD July 12, 2003. The info here is for buyer reference only. This ad appears exactly as written up to the purchase date. Purchase price was just below asking price with 111,000 miles. Feel free to email me with any buying, maintenance and/or driving questions. I was thrilled with this Aero and would purchase one again. Truly nothing negative to report! -bjw Vital stats: *1997 Saab 9000 Aero MANUAL trans. (silver exterior, dark gray leather interior)- $13,000. SERVICE UPDATE: On Feb. 10, 2003, the Aero received a 2004 P.A. state/emissions inspection and new rotors and brakes all around. The interior, exterior and engine are in FANTASTIC shape. I have the records from 20,000 miles. The car has 111,000 miles. I purchased the car from Swedish Motors in Marietta, PA (www.swedishmotors.com) on September 30, 2002, with 103,500 miles and a <now expired> 7,500 mile transferable major powertrain warranty (with a $100 deductible expiring at 3/30/03 or 111,257 miles). A great deal, I believe! I love the car- it is awesome, strong and in terrific shape in every facet. The only reason I'm selling is because I'll be moving to Cairo, Egypt, to teach and travel in August 2003. The Aero is QUICK with hefty power spinning the front wheels. This car has the full package for a 1997 Aero (power everything, 10-speaker HK system, 225 hp engine, sunroof, in-dash CD (plus a six-disc CD changer in the hatch), heated seats, remote/disabling alarm and much more... . I'm in Philadelphia, PA. More images and further details upon request. Maintenance: The maintenance paper trail for this car is awesome. I have the previous owner's receipt and records from 20,000 miles from Swedish Motors, who did ALL the work on this car for the previous owner. Before my purchase from Swedish Motors, they ran it through and brought it to spec from their 140-point checklist (email version available in .pdf format). Upon my purchase (9/30/02), I took it to my own mechanic (Overseas MotorsWorks in Philadelphia, PA) on 10/04/02 for an overall safety inspection to make sure all was okay. The car is a thoroughbred. Needs nothing. Tip-top condition. And there's a thick maintenance history paper trail! Background: According to the good guys at Swedish Motors, who maintained this Aero for one person since it had 20,000 miles on it, the previous owner was fanatical about taking care of the car because 1) he loved it and 2) he is a regional sales guy and needed the car in tip-top condition. But the condition of the car seems like it sat in a garage rather than used by a sales person on the road for nearly 20k a year. Apparently, this same previous owner has an Aero history at Swedish Motors- he would buy then sell about seven Aeros- and the one I'm selling is his most recent return. The body and interior are in amazing shape- no exceptions. The week before my purchase, Swedish refinished the front chin spoiler, which looks brand new...to match the awesome body.
