The metal moon roof either tilts up for air or lifts out. When out, it sits in the hatch area in a stowaway, zippered factory cover. (No ownership relation to the 911 Targa in the background, but I checked it out- 94k miles and in terrific shape:-).

944 boo-boos below (The minor dents and scratches below came with the car when I purchased it except the new rear decklid dents, which are scheduled for full repair late September 2002.) |

Front driver's side

There is a light indentation to the right of the bumper about two-to-three inches long and half an inch tall, as the body rounds the corner...right where the shadow in the picture begins. It starts just to the right of the where bumper moves into the body. Horizontally, it starts where the first "x" is, travels to the right and ends at about the last "x".
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Notice two small indentations on the light cover.

Scratches on the inside of the door handle- looks like ring scratches.
The paint peel on the door.
A spec of rust on the body just below and to the left of the front badge.
The front seat seam tears both the driver's and passenger's seat, and each one is on the left side seam of the seats. (Driver's)
(Passenger's)
Some wear on the rims...but not on all of the rims and only in select spots on the rims.
And finally, two new dents (OUCH!, on 8/25/02), whcih will be restored to factory finish by October 2002.
***Rear deck dents UPDATE below!!***9/28/02 The two dents above were remedied (below) by Girard Auto Body in Philadelphia, and it looks great (image taken 9/28/02):

The car is considered in terrific shape (in my opinion
and that of professional car people who have seen it) considering the
year (1989) and the aforementioned minor aesthetic issues. When all is
considered, the aesthetic issues are flushed out by the total beauty,
class and shape of the car...in my opinion...of course:-).
